Friends of Edwardes Lake (FoEL) is a local environmental group, formed in 2020, who preserve, restore and care for the ecosystems of Edwardes Lake, Edgars Creek wetlands and the Upper Edgars Creek (north of Henty Street)
Our mission is to work collaboratively, with key stakeholders, to expand and create habitats to support native indigenous flora and fauna along Edwardes Lake, Edgars Creek Wetlands and the Upper Edgars Creek (north of Henty Street), by increasing vegetation, reducing litter and improving water quality.
We will educate the community in environmental conservation, by providing opportunities to participate in the restoration and maintenance of the wildlife corridor and by promoting recreational opportunities to observe nature.
FoEL will advise government on priorities, issues, processes and programs, which assist our mission of enhancing and protecting the waterway and biodiversity corridor.
